Frequently asked questions
All FAQsWho am I buying from?
Every car shows its seller category: a private seller, a dealer, or TheCars (our own stock or a managed sale). Enquiries go directly to that seller; managed sales are handled by the TheCars team.
What do the “Inspected” and “Verified” badges mean?
“Inspected by TheCars” appears only when a completed TheCars inspection is on record, with its date and result. “Verified dealer” and “Identity verified” appear only after our team has reviewed evidence such as a trade licence or Emirates ID. Each badge on a car page shows the date and the evidence checked.
What does GCC specs mean?
GCC-spec cars were built for the Gulf market (cooling, rust protection, local warranty support). Cars with American, Japanese or European specs are labelled as such.
Can I get finance through TheCars?
Finance is offered as a referral to a partner only. TheCars is not a lender and cannot promise approval; the partner makes its own decision.
How do viewings work?
Request a viewing time on the car page. The seller or dealer confirms or proposes a new time, and you can track, reschedule or cancel it in My enquiries. Times are shown in UAE time.
Does clicking WhatsApp share my details?
No. Opening WhatsApp only starts a chat on your phone. Your details are shared only when you submit an enquiry form and agree to share them.
