- Listings, photos and the vehicle details you provide (VIN and documents are never public)
- Enquiries, viewing requests and the qualification answers you choose to give
- Orders and invoices; we never store card numbers
- Technical data such as IP address and, with your consent, analytics cookies
02Why we use it
- To run your account, publish listings and deliver enquiries
- To prevent fraud and moderate the marketplace
- To send the notifications you choose
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
03Sharing
When you send an enquiry, your details go only to that car’s seller, dealer or the TheCars team — and only after you agree. Partner referrals are made only with your consent. We use service providers (hosting, e-mail, payments) under contract.
04Your rights
- Download your data from My account → Privacy & data
- Correct your details at any time
- Request deletion; records we must keep by law (such as invoices) are retained
- Withdraw marketing or analytics consent at any time
05Retention
We keep data while your account is active and as required by law. Deleted accounts are anonymised.
